ESL 概要
ESLはドイツのエレクトロニック・スポーツリーグの運営会社である。
2000年に「エレクトロニック・スポーツ・リーグ」設立、その後その略称をとってESLに改称された。本社はケルンにある。
ESLは最も古くから運営されているeスポーツ企業のひとつで、その後も継続的に運営している最大規模の企業のひとつである。
世界各国で国内・国際大会を開催している。
ESLは11の支店があり、ドイツの他にもテレビスタジオを所有している。大会の模様は主にTwitchで実況中継される。
主にインテル・エクストリーム・マスターズ（IEM）、ESL One、ESLプロリーグ、各国の国内選手権の開催などを運営している。出典:Wikipedia

今回の出場選手は各国の有名Forniteプレイヤーを大会側が招待する形で決定しました。
日本からも二人のプレイヤーがその熾烈な戦いに挑むことになりました。

日本代表のCrazyRaccoonの二人の結果
Soloではリズアート選手が99位/100位、Crazyラマ選手が70位/100位という結果に。
Duoでは47位/50位という結果に。
今回アジア圏の出場選手はいくつかのルールが知ることができなかったというハンデを抱えていました。
それもあり、CrazyRaccoonの二人もDay1とDay2は本来の力を発揮できず、苦しい結果に。
しかし、Dasy3では大会のルールに沿った動きに修正していき、本来の二人らしい素晴らしいプレイを繰り広げました。
それでも最終的には世界の壁はまだまだ非常に分厚いということを思い知る結果に。

しかし、ESL Katowice Royale 2019を通してCrazyRacoonの二人はもちろん、日本中のFortniteプレイヤーにとって素晴らしい経験を積んだと思います。
世界と戦っていくには何が必要なのか、それ考えるきっかけを得たことは非常に素晴らしいことです。
リズアート選手とCrazyラマ選手はこの大会を通じて、さらにレベルアップしたはずですし、今回の悔しさをバネにしてさらに強くなっていくと思います。
今後、さらに発展していくFortniteシーンでこの２選手の活躍と日本勢の躍動に期待していきましょう。
